Angguk Geleng -C1P2-

Assalamualaikum and good evening...

So here it is, continuation from part 1, here goes part 2....
This entry is quite long. I hope you won't be bored and keep reading. May this little effort bring us much better life in the future.

6. Dakwah
  • In giving dakwah, one should do it wisely. Like Ustaz Pahrol stated in this book, the truth should come with wisdom. Without wisdom, the truth will be rejected. Do it calmly and patiently, do not do it in rush or greedily.
Al-Qur'an (16:126)

  • Ustaz Pahrol also stated that there are 3 target groups with different mode of dakwah:
1.   The Intellectuals: with this group of people, we have to do dakwah using dalil (proof, guide) and argument (peaceful debate) that is apparent/clear until the truth can conquer their minds. Usually this type of people are ego and you have to proof them that they are really wrong. Sometimes, they just want you to convince them, and you have to tackle this tactics wisely and calmly.
2.   The Common Society: mau'izhah hasanah is the best way where this method means using nice advice, good lesson and reminder that is full of encouragements & compliments. Because good advice and encouragements & compliments tends to move people hearts. I advice those who wants to help their friends do this, give advice calmly and say it nicely. While saying dakwah to your friend, strok the back of their hands or just simply their backs slowly. Only do this to your mahram, okay? My friend in university named Hajar (Ajai) used to do this to me and surprisingly, i took what she said to heart and slowly (i think too slow...huuu T.T) i change (better late than never....?eheee^^). Plus if you can, do not stay away from them. Keep encouraging them and give compliments to good deeds that they do.
3.   The Debater and Protester: Debate with them politely, softly, firm but not hard. Do it professionally but not emotionally as what we are trying to find is the truth not the victory and of course, please don't do personal attack. This may lead to a fight and the people might stay away from you. Hence, cause a failure to your dakwah.

7. Syaithan Is Knowledgeable
  • Do you know, syaithan is so knowledgeable, creative and innovative in their mission to stray us away from the straight path. For example, when they know we are busy and we got lots and lots of things to do, they simply use those list of thoughts (our to do list) to distract us during solah. When we have the intention to donate, they simply use our interest (in ice-cream, comics, etc) to make us cancel our good intention. So what we should do is, stay strong and keep our intentions and keep reminding ourselves that what we do is for the sake of ALLAH S.W.T.
  • You can use this tip i always, always use when i have hard time to do good things for example; solah. We know that syaithan is our enemy (besides our nafs). So, what i do is i imagine that i'm a warrior and i have to defeat this syaithan. how to defeat them? just do the good things i intentionally wants to do. and if it is a bad thing, then simply just don't do it. because if you really launch your bad deeds, then you know you have already lost to your sworn enemy. Man, that's bad for your reputation.

8. Qadha & Qadar
  • It is ALLAH's right to plan the way of our life. What has HE plan for us is not ours to object. What you can do is to do the best that you can and believe in HIS plan. What good you do today may not be replied tomorrow but believe that ALLAH will reply it sooner or later. If not now then maybe later in hereafter, insyaALLAH. Be patience, do the best, keep on praying (du'a) and tawakkal (put your all in HIS hand). ALLAH listens and he loves you.

Al-Qur'an (2:286)

9. ALLAH S.W.T
  • Get to know HIM. And if you forget about HIS mightiness recite surah Al-Ikhlas and try to put it in your heart.

Al-Qur'an (112)

10. Amar Makruf Nahi Mungkar
  • It means invites to the good and forbidding evil.
  • Whatever good deeds we do has its own enemy, either its from ourselves (our nafs) or people around us or iblis & their crony.
  • So what we can do is try hard to invite people to do good things, to learn & get to know Islam,  but not to forget to try harder to improve ourselves & attend heavens gardens (party of knowledge such as seminar, talks, kuliyyah, tazkirah, usrah) as much as we can to gain new knowledge and to improve the old ones.
  • However, do this with full sincerity and open hearts, and insyaALLAH your good intentions will easily defeat those enemy. InsyaALLAH, ameen.

Lets try & practice those tips together. I'm learning too.
To be good is to do good or at least try to do good.
But there's a say:

There's no try; it's either Do or Don't.

So i say,
Do it, practice it, and this practice insyaALLAH will keep you do those good things.

There you go...summary of the first chapter of Anggung Geleng....Hope you can understand them...
My English is not that good also, so i try to use this blog as a medium to practice to make them better...
insyaALLAH, bit by bit, i'll soon get there...(^-^)v

and i'm not sure where's the book now.eheh :)

Angguk Geleng -C1P1-

Assalamualaikum and good morning,

So, today's topic is Akidah Umat Islam (Muslim's Aqidah).
Currently i'm reading this wonderful book titled 'Angguk Geleng' by Ustaz Pahrol Mohamad Juoi and Husna Hassan. There are 4 chapters which are:

1. Akidah Umat Islam (Muslim's Aqidah)
2. Hubungan Sesama Makhluk (Relationships Among Creatures)
3. Ibrah Daripada Gelagat Makhluk (Learning from Creatures Attitude)
4. Kepentingan Ilmu Dalam Kehidupan (The Importance of Knowledge in Life)

(Speaking the truth, i'm not sure if the translation above is suitable for the chapters...uhuhuhu...but i think you can understand them, can't you? tell me if you can't.^^)

Moving on...

I only can tell you things that I learn from this first chapter and insyaALLAH will continue to do so for the next chapter and the next and the next. If you want to know the amazing stories in this book, you can buy it (you should buy it cause it's awesome...^^). It's published by Telaga Biru Sdn. Bhd and you can buy it online from them too.

1. Do not follow a teaching/practice without knowing it's purpose

  • Try to get to know the practice; who teach this, why do we have to do it like that, what is it purpose, etc. These days people just follow whatever their ancestors doing although knows it is not allowed in Islam. Sometimes it's just because they are afraid what people might say to them or simply saying it's to follow the custom. There are good things and bad things that our ancestors do, follow the good as long as it follows Islamic teaching and leave the things that we know we shouldn't do. Stay strong!

2. Do something good frequently and keep doing it (istiqamah)

  • ALLAH S.W.T loves people who do good things 'istiqamah'ly. It's so much better than people who have karamah (miracle) because istiqamah people, their iman is much more guaranteed than those people who have karamah. This is because people with karamah might slipped from the path from being proud of what they have. (na'uzubillah)

3. Do good things in silent

  • Meaning whatever good things you do, do it because of ALLAH and not because you expect to be rewarded by HIM nor be praise by people (I'm trying to do this too, let's do it together okay?^^). These days, i used to see people doing donations but there, they show them in the papers, tv, the news, etc. Donating is a good thing, i know that. I don't want to judge people but it's better not to show it at all (if you really sincere about it) but still it's all based on your intention.

4. Trust ALLAH S.W.T

  • Every things that happen must have it's good or bad consequences. Be patience and trust ALLAH, and hope that whatever happens will bring good with them. This is where we usually say 'think positive' and insyaALLAH the good things will come. Smile and bring smile to other people. Negative attitude will only bring you depression and gloomy day.

Al-Qur'an (2:216)
5. Fear ALLAH S.W.T

  • It helps in controlling our behavior. We usually forget that things we do today may affect our life in hereafter. One should remember that this life is a test. It is a long hour exam that the result only will be shown after we're all dead. If you get flying colors result you are awesome & like fairy tales, you'll live happily ever after in Jannah (insyaALLAH, ameen). But if not, there will be no turning back, no appealing, no more taubat will be accepted and you have to accept the punishment that is sentence to you (na'uzubillah).

To be continued...see you in part 2.... *wink*

"Begini, Sayang" -three-

Chapter 3 : Dapat Banyak Pahala Kalau Bersedekah
(We Can Gain Many Reward If We Donate)

In this chapter, the author and his family were watching a documentary of poor Pakistanians who confronted a great flood. He asked his daughter, Humaira if she wants to help them and she disagreed because she's afraid that she'll lost her money.

Here comes the easy concept of giving that can be teach to kids:

  1. We give to please ALLAH S.W.T
  2. From giving (donating), we gain rewards from ALLAH S.W.T
  3. Rewards that we collect will be the tickets to gain Jannah (heaven), insyaALLAH

The Simple Theories in Islam:

  1. Giving will not consume our wealth/property. In fact, giving will help to double our wealth because ALLAH will replace it with rewards either in this world or in hereafter.
  2. Refusing of the act of giving because afraid of the lost of wealth is one bad attitude. Learn to believe in ALLAH the most excellent provider. Give/donate what we can afford.

Surah Al-Baqarah (2) : 265

"hold the world with your hand but don't put it in your heart"

So there you go...first three chapter of the book. i'm not sure if this will help to make u like the book but hopefully it will...haha...it's a good book, really good book but i'm quite busy to update to you the next chapter and the next and the next and the next and ........ (although i'd prepared few summary of the book (by chapter of course^^)...haha)...

sorry again and may ALLAH bless all of you! (^-^)v

"Begini, Sayang!" -two-

Chapter 2 : Bagaimana Cara Minta Maaf Daripada ALLAH
(Ways To Ask for ALLAH forgiveness)

In this chapter, Humaira' and the author were discussing on Surah Zalzalah

Al-Qur'an 99 taken from Quran.com (click to enlarge)

Surah Az-Zalzalah tells us a story when the doomsday come, which is the day that we'll be separated into categories to be shown our results of our good and bad deeds...where whoever doing even the smallest good deed will see it's benefit and those doing bad things will receive their part...

Humaira' was afraid and asked her father how to ask ALLAH forgiveness and her father taught her to pray to ALLAH, asking HIS forgiveness with sincerity and full of hopes like whenever she ask for an ice-cream or toys.

Easy Concept Of Du'a
1. Focus
2. Pray hard
3. Full of hopes
4. Know what we ask for

Pray To ALLAH Sincerely
NO slacking while praying...
DO NOT think of other things except what we're asking for

Moral Of The Story
teach your children the best way and easiest concept of du'a...
it's not necessary to teach them a long & hard du'a...
teach them  in the way that they can really understand the du'a and the purpose of the du'a

Foot Note
One of the ways to gain children attention when we're talking to them is to sit near them,
facing them and do it with determination

Seriously, you guys need to buy this book...if me, who doesn't have any children likes to read it (and hopefully can implement this knowledge to my children one day, insyaALLAH), you will too...insyaALLAH d(^-^)b

"Begini, Sayang!" -one-

Chapter 1 : Siapa Ciptakan ALLAH? (Who Created ALLAH?)

In this chapter, Humaira' (author's daughter) asked the author who created things she saw...she kept asking and her father keep on answering and added that whatever humans make the most basic component of that thing created was made by ALLAH until she pop-up with one Q where she asked her father

 'Who created ALLAH?'

her father then answered that no one created HIM because every single thing was created by HIM.

Al-Qur'an 112 taken from Quran.com

and then his daughter ask him some more,

'How ALLAH create things?'

and he answered that, whenever ALLAH wanted to create something, HE'll just need to say 'Be' and it is created.

Al-Qur'an 2 : 117 taken from Quran.com

Moral of the story?
- we should teach our children the awesomeness of ALLAH since they're toddlers so that when they've grown up, that feeling of fearing ALLAH and knowing HIS power will be their shield from doing the bad things.

"Begini, Sayang!" -intro-

greetings humans of planet earth...
it's been too long...
and now i decided to share some knowledge from a book i just read...
it's called

BEGINI, SAYANG!
(like this, dear!)
by En. Mohd Hisham Mohd Sharif & Pn. Hasifah Zainuddin

i'll be telling you the first 3 chapters...
(not all chapter of course or i might be sued by the author...ngee^^)..
it's a cool book..
not only for parents but also for people like me
who is currently trying to learn as much as i can about my religion

to gain knowledge as much as i can so i can forever stay in the right path
and be guided to the right destination
insyaALLAH (^-^)

(and yeah this book mostly (actually) about parenting...hehe)
but who cares?
the most simple thing can also deepen our faith what
sebab
we tend to forget the most basic things
and we sometimes do need to become our child-like-self
ehehe....

maka, please keep reading
especially for those who expecting new born child

"Wahai Tuhan kami, jadikanlah kami beroleh
daripada isteri-isteri dan zuriat keturunan kami,
perkara-perkara yang menjadi penyejuk hati kami,
serta jadikanlah kami sebagai Imam bagi orang-orang yang bertaqwa. Ameen"

this du'a was in the book preface
and it's a good start for the book (i think...)
it's a du'a to ask ALLAH S.W.T
to grant us tranquility from wives (for husband) and their offspring...
and to become the leader of those who fear ALLAH...
insyaALLAH..ameen
